Toyota Hyryder Aero Black Edition Launched At Rs. 15.19 Lakhs

Toyota has expanded the Urban Cruiser Hyryder lineup with the introduction of the Aero Black Edition, a limited-run styling package aimed at buyers looking for a sportier appearance. Priced at Rs. 31,999 over the standard model, the package is available exclusively in the Midnight Black exterior colour and is offered on select G(O) and V variants equipped with petrol and strong-hybrid powertrains.

With the addition of the Aero Black package, the Hyryder G(O) is priced at Rs. 15.19 lakhs, while the V variant costs Rs 16.74 lakhs (ex-showroom). The standard versions of these trims are priced at Rs. 14.87 lakhs and Rs. 16.42 lakhs, respectively. The launch follows Toyota’s introduction of the Aero Edition accessory package for the SUV last year.

The Aero Black Edition focuses solely on cosmetic enhancements. Chrome accents surrounding the headlights, front grille and tailgate have been replaced with black-finished elements, giving the SUV a more understated appearance. The silver trim on the lower front bumper has also been finished in black, while an exclusive Aero Black Limited Edition badge distinguishes it from the regular Hyryder range.

There are no changes to the SUV’s mechanical package or feature list. The Hyryder continues to be offered with multiple powertrain options, including petrol, CNG and strong-hybrid configurations.

The 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 103 HP and 137 Nm of torque. It can be paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Buyers opting for this engine can also choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, depending on the variant.

The CNG version of the Hyryder uses the same 1.5-litre petrol engine but delivers 88 HP and 121.5 Nm while running on CNG. It is available exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission.

For those seeking better fuel efficiency, the strong-hybrid variant combines a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor to produce a combined output of 115 HP. The hybrid system draws power from a 0.60 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and is paired with an eCVT automatic transmission, with power sent exclusively to the front wheels.

With the Aero Black Edition, Toyota is offering customers a cosmetic upgrade without altering the Hyryder’s existing powertrain options or driving characteristics.
