Honda Elevate Facelift Teaser

Honda has opened pre-bookings for the updated Elevate in India ahead of its scheduled launch on October 6. Customers can reserve the facelifted SUV at Honda dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs. 21,000.

The company has also released a teaser offering an early look at some of the exterior and interior changes. The powertrain is expected to remain unchanged.

Honda Elevate facelift: Exterior changes

The teaser indicates several revisions to the Elevate’s front and rear styling.

The SUV gets a redesigned grille featuring glossy hexagonal elements, while the Honda badge has been repositioned from the grille to the bonnet. The facelift also introduces segmented LED daytime running lights, similar to those seen on the updated City.

The main headlamp units and fog-lamp housings appear largely unchanged based on the teaser.

At the rear, the most notable addition is a connected LED tail-light design, giving the SUV a revised lighting signature.

The teaser also appears to confirm that the Elevate will continue with Honda’s Lane Watch camera system. A camera pod is visible on the left outside rear-view mirror, while a 360-degree camera has not been indicated.

Interior gets a revised dashboard

Honda has shown only a limited portion of the facelifted Elevate’s cabin, but the teaser reveals changes to the dashboard.

The updated interior appears to feature more white leatherette surfaces with contrast stitching, along with amber ambient lighting integrated into the dashboard and door panels.

Honda has not yet detailed the complete equipment list for the facelift. Potential additions could include features such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, a powered front passenger seat and rear sunblinds.

Engine and gearbox options expected to remain unchanged

The Elevate facelift is expected to continue with the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine.

The engine currently produces 121hp and 145Nm and is paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-step CVT.

A 1.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrain, which is available with the Honda City, is not expected to be introduced with the Elevate facelift.

Honda Elevate facelift price and rivals

Honda is expected to revise the Elevate’s pricing following the facelift. The current SUV is priced between Rs. 11.81 lakh and Rs. 16.36 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Elevate competes in the midsize SUV segment against models including the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Victoris, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Renault Duster.

More details, including the complete feature list and revised prices, are expected to be announced when the facelifted Honda Elevate launches on October 6.
