MG Motor India has introduced the Windsor EV Indulge Edition at Rs. 17.89 lakhs (ex-showroom). Based on the top-spec Essence trim, the new edition adds exterior and interior changes, along with accessories focused on passenger comfort. It is available exclusively with the smaller 38kWh battery pack.
The Indulge Edition costs Rs. 89,000 more than the standard Windsor EV Essence variant. Its additions primarily concern styling, cabin upholstery and convenience features, while the powertrain remains unchanged.
MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition: What’s new?
The special edition introduces a Shadow Gold exterior colour, complemented by black alloy wheels measuring 18 inches. It also receives Indulge badges on the rear quarter glass. Other exterior elements, including the LED lighting, body cladding, black roof and blacked-out outside rearview mirrors, remain unchanged.
Inside, the Windsor EV Indulge Edition features black-and-tan leatherette seat upholstery. The front seat headrests carry Indulge embossing, while the cabin also gets dedicated cushions and neck cushions for front occupants, along with pillows for rear passengers.
Another addition is a roof-mounted flip-down display for rear-seat occupants, which MG calls the Prive Screen. The company has not yet disclosed the screen’s dimensions. Other equipment is carried over from the Essence trim.
MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition: Battery, range and performance
The Indulge Edition is offered only with the 38kWh battery pack. It has a claimed driving range of 332 km on a single charge.
Power comes from a front-mounted electric motor producing 136 HP and 200 Nm of torque, with drive sent to the front wheels. There are no changes to the motor or battery specifications compared with the standard 38kWh Windsor EV.
MG also sells the Windsor EV with a larger 52.9kWh battery pack, which has a claimed range of 449 km. This version uses the same front-wheel-drive motor, but the larger battery option is not available with the Indulge Edition.
MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition: Price and alternatives
Priced at Rs. 17.89 lakhs, the Indulge Edition sits close to the Windsor EV Exclusive Pro, which is the most affordable variant equipped with the larger 52.9kWh battery pack.
This creates a choice between the Indulge Edition’s additional cabin and styling features and the longer claimed range offered by the larger-battery variant. Buyers prioritising range may find the 52.9kWh version worth considering, while those interested in the Indulge Edition’s additional equipment will have to opt for the smaller battery.
MG is also offering a selection of accessories for the special edition, including a rear sunshade, 3D floor mats, chrome grille accents, bumper corner protectors, body-side moulding and a leather key cover.
The Indulge Edition expands the Windsor EV lineup with additional comfort and cosmetic features, but does not introduce any mechanical changes or a larger battery option.
