Hyundai Bayon Bookings Open At Rs 11,000

Hyundai has opened bookings for its upcoming Bayon SUV in India. The new Hyundai Bayon is being positioned as an “Intelligent Utility Vehicle” and will focus heavily on technology, safety, comfort and a futuristic design.

Bookings for the Hyundai Bayon have started at an initial amount of Rs 11,000. Customers can book the SUV through Hyundai’s official website or by visiting their nearest Hyundai dealership. The SUV is expected to launch in India during the upcoming festive season, while the exact launch date and prices have not been announced yet.

The Hyundai Bayon measures around 4.2 metres in length, placing it in the mid-size SUV space. Hyundai says the SUV has been designed to offer a strong road presence while making good use of its interior space. The company claims the Bayon will offer good legroom, headroom and shoulder room for occupants.

The design is one of the major highlights of the Bayon. It gets a sculpted bonnet, a futuristic front fascia and Hyundai’s signature H-Edge LED DRLs. The SUV also features geometric wheel arches, wrap-around door cladding and bridge-type roof rails. Hyundai says the overall design has been created to give the Bayon a wide and dynamic stance.

One of the biggest talking points will be the technology on offer. The Hyundai Bayon gets an in-built generative AI voice assistant, which is designed to allow more natural interaction between the driver and the vehicle. Hyundai is positioning this feature as a key part of the SUV’s connected and intelligent driving experience.

Safety is another major focus. The Bayon is built on Hyundai’s Global K Enhanced Platform, which the company says has been engineered for 5-star Indian safety standards based on its internal assessment. Hyundai also highlights structural rigidity, occupant protection and advanced safety technology as key areas of the SUV.

Under the bonnet, the Hyundai Bayon will be offered with a petrol powertrain. It will be available with both a manual transmission and Hyundai’s Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). Hyundai says the powertrain has been tuned to offer a refined, responsive and fuel-efficient driving experience for both city and highway use.

Hyundai is building the Bayon around five key areas: Intelligence, Safety, Comfort, Performance and Style. The company believes this combination will make the SUV suitable for modern Indian buyers looking for more technology and convenience in their everyday vehicle.

The Hyundai Bayon will be launched in India this festive season. Prices, detailed variants, engine specifications and the delivery timeline are expected to be announced closer to the launch. For now, bookings are open for Rs 11,000.
