VinFast Auto India Opens Its First Dealership In Surat, Gujarat, Partners With Chandan Car

VinFast has opened its first dealership in Surat, Gujarat. VinFast’s upcoming premium electric SUVs, the VF6 and VF7, will be on display at the showroom. The showroom will also provide product experiences, purchase support, and after-sales services to customers.

VinFast launched the Surat showroom in partnership with Chandan Car, marking a key milestone for the company in India. This debut comes days before its USD 2 billion plant’s inauguration in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The plant’s inauguration shall happen in the first week of August.

Customers would need to pay a fully refundable amount of Rs. 21,000 for bookings of the VF6 and VF7, allowing them to easily reserve their preferred SUV. By the end of 2025, the brand aims to open 35 dealerships across over 27 cities. This initiative reflects the company’s aggressive expansion strategy in India’s growing EV market.

Partnerships

VinFast has tied up with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure for charging and after-sales service infrastructure. The company partnered with BatX Energies for battery recycling and a circular battery value chain. The partnerships aim to build a complete EV ecosystem in India.

VinFast, through its subsidiary V-Green and other collaborators, is exploring EV charging development. The goal is to align with India’s EV policy that offers duty-linked incentives. Utilising local production, dealer networks, and EV models, VinFast aims to challenge Tesla and local rivals.
