Toyota hikes Fortuner and Legender prices by up to Rs. 68,000/- in India

Toyota has revised the prices of its popular SUV offerings in India, the Fortuner and the Legender, with hikes reaching up to Rs. 68,000/-. This adjustment follows the recent introduction of mild-hybrid variants within the Fortuner lineup, which are priced from Rs. 44.77 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The highest increase applies to the Fortuner 4×2 Petrol Automatic variant, which now costs Rs. 68,000/- more than before. Meanwhile, the 4×2 Diesel Manual, 4×2 Diesel Automatic and 4×4 Diesel Manual variants have each seen a Rs. 40,000/- hike.

In addition, the price of the Fortuner GR-S, Legender 4×4 Diesel Manual and Legender 4×4 Diesel Automatic variants has also been raised by Rs. 40,000/-. The revised pricing places the Fortuner range between Rs. 36.05 lakhs and Rs. 52.34 lakhs (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and powertrain configuration.

The Fortuner is currently offered with two engine options: a 2.8-litre diesel engine available with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 2.7-litre petrol engine paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The Fortuner Legender, a more premium variant with distinctive styling, continues to use the same 2.8-litre diesel engine and is also available with both manual and automatic transmission options.

The price revision reflects ongoing adjustments in input costs, regulatory compliance and the evolving demand landscape in the premium SUV segment.
