July 2025 car sales witnessed drastic changes in top 25, Maruti Dzire leads

July 2025 top 25 car sales list revealed, Maruti Dzire tops the chart. There are 10 Maruti cars in this list, followed by 5 cars from Mahindra, 3 cars from Tata and Kia, 2 from Hyundai and Toyota each.

The Maruti Dzire claimed the title of India’s best-selling car, surpassing the Hyundai Creta by a margin of 3997 units. The compact sedan’s performance was bolstered by growing demand for its CNG variant and steady sales in the taxi segment.

This marks the first time in six months that the country’s top-selling model has crossed the 20,000-unit dispatch mark. The last instance was in February 2025, when the Maruti Fronx recorded 21,461 units. Maruti Suzuki maintained its dominance in the market by securing seven of the top ten positions.

Utility vehicles continued to hold a strong presence, with six of the top ten models belonging to the UV segment. The Creta remained the best-selling SUV in July, finishing just ahead of the highest-selling MPV, the Maruti Ertiga. Meanwhile, the Wagon R retained its position as the highest-selling hatchback, ranking fourth overall.

Mahindra’s Scorpio also delivered notable numbers, with approximately 14,000 units dispatched, making it the brand’s top-selling model for the month.

Out of 25 cars in the list, 14 cars have witnessed negative year-on-year growth. What are your thoughts on the top 25 selling cars of July 2025. Let us know in the comments section below.
