Skoda has unveiled the Vision O Concept at IAA, highlighting the brand’s futuristic approach to design and technology. The Vision 7S first showcased the Modern Solid design language’s next phase, represented by the concept. With electrification central to its vision, the model caters to both business and family users.
It features multiple possible drivetrains, with electrified solutions emphasised. As a multi-purpose vehicle, the brand aims to expand its reach across a wider customer base with the design.
Talking about design, the Vision O debuts a new Tech-Loop front mask, replacing the earlier Tech-Deck Face. This illuminated fascia integrates functional elements into a bold “O” shaped design. Active grille shutters and airflow channels around the wheels further improve aerodynamics and efficiency.
Vents on the bonnet reduce drag while directing rainwater away from the windscreen. Optimised aerodynamics of the wheels enhance both efficiency and appearance. A sloping roofline and panoramic sunroof add elegance and space, making the Vision O visually premium.
Inside, the cabin embraces simplicity with a full-width horizontal display that integrates driver and infotainment functions. A Smart Dial controller and steering-mounted buttons ensure intuitive operation. The design focuses on connectivity and driver-friendly usability.
Skoda’s Laura digital assistant uses artificial intelligence to enhance the overall driving experience. Laura handles vehicle functions, schedules, and entertainment for passengers. It can even suggest local activities or tell interactive stories to children.
