Renault is now preparing to introduce the updated Kiger after launching the Triber facelift. The brand has scheduled the unveiling for August 24.
Renault first launched the Renault Kiger in early 2021 as one of the most affordable subcompact SUVs. It shares its platform with the Nissan Magnite. Sales of the Renault Kiger have sharply declined in recent months, with dispatches falling below 1000 units.
Various test mules of the updated Kiger have been spotted several times in recent months. Expectations are that the facelift will bring minor exterior and interior updates. Renault aims to refresh the SUV while retaining its current design language with these changes.
Teasers reveal that the updated taillamps have slightly revised internals and a lighter green paint option. Renault shall redesign the front bumper to match the updated brand logo. We expect the French compact SUV to include a new grille and headlamp design.
The cabin is likely to feature improved materials and updated colour schemes. Feature highlights may include an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless phone charger, and digital instrument cluster. Automatic climate control and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also expected.
Powertrains will remain unchanged from the outgoing model. The 1.0-litre NA petrol produces 71 HP and 96 Nm of torque, paired with manual or AMT options. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol delivers 99 HP and up to 160 Nm of torque, with manual or CVT transmissions.
