Land Rover launched a special version of their flagship luxury SUV, the Range Rover SV Masara Edition. The sapphires of the Himalayan region are the basis for this special edition. They limited the Masara Edition to just 12 units and priced it at a whopping Rs. 4.99 crore (ex-showroom).
The Masara Edition follows the Ranthambore Edition as the second India-inspired special edition Range Rover. This edition is based on the long-wheelbase version of the Range Rover SV, offering class-leading luxury for the chauffeur-driven. The Masara Edition showcases a special shade of ‘Deep Satin Blue’.
The paint will remain exclusive to the Masara Edition, inspired by Himalayan sapphires. There are also 23-inch alloy rims, finished in bronze and silver treatment, complementing the exterior. Other components, such as the front door, grille surrounds, also feature the bronze-silver highlights.
The interior features a finish in Liberty Blue and Perlino leather upholstery. There are unique quilted seats and chrome accents, giving the interior a premium feel. Additionally, ‘Masara Edition’ branding with ‘1 of 12’ adorns the door sills to signify its exclusive nature.
The special edition includes the SV Signature Suite, featuring powered tables, a refrigerator, and bespoke glassware. The SV trim is fully loaded with features like air suspension, ADAS, a panoramic roof, and electrically adjustable seats with heating, cooling and massage functions etc.
A 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 powers the Range Rover SV Masara Edition. It produces 615 HP and 750 NM of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed transmission with a high/low range.
The luxury SUV also enables drivers to go off-road with features like off-road modes and off-road adaptive cruise control. Overall, it is an expensive blend of comfort and performance.
