Nissan is offering retrofit CNG kits for the Magnite. Motozen manufactures the kit, priced at an additional Rs. 74,999. The CNG kit is paired with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine. This means that the Magnite is priced at Rs. 6.89 Lakh (ex-showroom).
It is important to note that Nissan hasn’t tested the CNG kit on the pre-facelift model as of present. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated 3-cylinder engine pairs with a 5-speed manual transmission. The kit is available on all 6 variants across the following states: Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala and Karnataka.
The CNG kit installation will take place at Government-approved fitment centres. The CNG kit is available with a 3 year/1 Lakh Km warranty. In Phase 2, the dealer-level fitment of the kit will also take across more states in India.
The Nissan Magnite CNG will compete with the Tata Punch CNG and Hyundai Exter CNG. Notably, the Kiger CNG offers a dealer level fitment, costing the around the same as the Magnite CNG’s external fitment.
