New gen Hyundai Venue debuts advanced infotainment, Level 2 ADAS & safety upgrades

In anticipation of its second-generation launch on November 4, Hyundai has shared comprehensive details about the upcoming Venue. The compact SUV now gets a major upgrade in its infotainment and safety offerings, further strengthening its position in the competitive segment.

Connected Car Navigation Cockpit and Infotainment Upgrades

A standout highlight of the new Venue is its twin 12.3-inch curved display setup, which introduces Hyundai’s latest ccNC (Connected Car Navigation Cockpit) system. Powered by NVIDIA, the system integrates the infotainment and digital instrument cluster into a seamless panoramic display. It supports onboard navigation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and over-the-air (OTA) software updates.

The digital instrument cluster offers three themes – Classic, Modern and Simple – along with ADAS information and navigation prompts. The feature list expands further with an 8-speaker Bose audio system, front ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, a 4-way powered driver’s seat, wireless charging and a single-pane sunroof. Voice commands in five languages – English, Hindi, Hinglish, Bengali and Tamil – add to its user-friendly nature.

Enhanced Safety Suite with Level 2 ADAS

Safety takes a significant leap with the introduction of Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). The system includes smart cruise control with stop-and-go function, forward collision avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, driver attention warning and rear parking collision avoidance assist. Unlike the previous camera-based setup, the new system combines radar and camera sensors for improved accuracy.

Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist, all-disc brakes, electric parking brake with auto hold, tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), three-point seatbelts for all occupants, rollover sensor, and a 360-degree surround-view camera.

Engine Options and Variants

Under the hood, the Venue continues with its proven trio of engines: an 83 HP 1.2-litre petrol, a 120 HP 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 116 HP 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission choices include a manual for the base petrol, a 7-speed DCT for the turbo-petrol and a new torque converter automatic for the diesel variant – marking a first for the model.

Bookings for the new Venue are open at Rs. 25,000, with the compact SUV set to rival the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO upon its launch.
