Mercedes has announced a significant price reduction for the E-Class LWB, following recent GST policy revisions in India. The prices of the models will now drop by Rs 6 lakh. To celebrate the sedan’s first anniversary, Mercedes also introduced a new Verde Silver colour.
The E-Class LWB was previously priced between Rs. 83 lakh and Rs. 96.9 lakh (ex-showroom). After revision, the prices now start around Rs. 91 lakh (ex-showroom). Mercedes also confirmed a similar reduction in benefits for the GLE 450, which now drops from Rs. 1.15 crore to Rs. 1.07 crore.
A 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine powers the E200, producing 204 HP. A 2.0-litre diesel engine powers the E220d, generating 197 HP. Meanwhile, the flagship E450 AMG combines a six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, delivering 381 HP.
Despite the revision, the luxury sedan’s features remain unchanged. The sedan continues to feature a triple-screen layout including a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. Other features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 17-speaker Burmester system, four-zone climate control, and 64-colour ambient lighting.
Reduced prices, added colour options, and unchanged luxury features make the E-Class LWB more attractive to premium sedan buyers in India.
