Mercedes Vision V Concept Revealed, Production Version To Launch In 2026
Mercedes has revealed the Vision V Concept ahead of Auto Shanghai 2025. The brand builds the new concept van on its Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA). The next-generation V-Class will incorporate its aspects.
Styling
The Mercedes Vision V Concept has a boxy silhouette and is an evolution of the 2019 Mercedes EQV MPV. The design features a sleek LED headlight setup paired with a large closed-off grille, and an illuminated 3-pointed star motif enhances its appeal.
The Vision V Concept features regular front doors and sliding rear doors on the side. The alloy wheels feature embedded lighting and also get an aero-optimised 5-spoke design, increasing efficiency. The LED tail lights wrap around the roof and the lower end of the tailgate, forming a square shape.
The centre panel, made entirely of glass, is housed in the LED tail light “square”. In addition to it, there is ‘Vision V’ lettering in the centre of the tailgate.
Interior
The Vision V Concept’s interior is a mixture of class-leading technology and futuristic design. On the inside, you will find a 4-seat design, delivering a spacious experience. The tube-cushioned seats provide comfort, and the white dashboard features a giant screen that displays the driver’s information, the infotainment system, and information for the passenger..
Mercedes has fitted the Vision V with a 3-spoke steering wheel and no presence of a centre console beneath the dashboard. This can mean that all the controls are integrated into the screens. There is ambient lighting with transparent door pockets and a centre armrest. The rear of the Vision V is more like a first-class aeroplane experience as opposed to a minivan. The captain seats take inspiration from the airlines and feature white nappa leather upholstery with reclining function.
Features
There are multiple luxury features such as a 65-inch 4K cinema screen, 42-speaker Dolby Atmos speakers. In addition to it, the rear glass has a privacy function which can switch from transparent to opaque. The foldout table converts into a chessboard featuring glass pawns. The design features a transparent storage space at the rear.
Powertrain Options
Mercedes hasn’t revealed specific details about battery size but has assured a range of up to 500 Km on a single charge. This will be possible with the use of 800V architecture that supports front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options.
Launch Date & Market Positioning
The production version, which utilises the VAN.EA platform is set to launch next year. These models will range from practical MPVs oriented for families to limo vans, similar to the Vision V Concept. The luxurious van from Mercedes will compete with the likes of the Toyota Vellfire.
