Mahindra’s Vision S, first showcased on Independence Day, has now been spotted in a production-ready version undergoing tests. The SUV retains the bold, rugged design language of the concept. The sighting suggests that the Vision S could soon enter production as the first concept from the Independence Day showcase.
Spy images show the SUV with an imposing, boxy appeal, displaying its upright stance, flat roofline, and squared-off wheel arches. Emphasising its rugged and practical nature for adventurous use, the SUV retains the tailgate-mounted spare wheel. Circular headlamps at the front pair with a revised grille that features vertical slats, blending retro cues with modern aesthetics.
The retro but modern design language is showcased in the rear with vertically stacked tail lamps, adding a contemporary touch. In the production model, minimal design changes are suggested by several exterior details closely mirroring the concept.
Glimpses through the windows inside reveal a modern, feature-rich cabin designed for comfort and practicality. Expected features include a large infotainment screen, premium upholstery, and improved ergonomics for an enhanced driving experience. Despite its rugged nature, the SUV aims to deliver premium appeal with advanced technology and durability.
The Vision S is expected to make its market debut in early 2027, creating significant anticipation among enthusiasts. Mahindra shall price it competitively to strengthen its stronghold in the growing SUV segment.
