
Mahindra has unveiled the BE 6 Batman Edition, a special limited-run variant priced at Rs. 27.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Developed in collaboration with Warner Bros and DC Comics, the model will be restricted to 300 units. Bookings open on August 23 with a token amount of Rs. 21,000/-, while deliveries are set to begin on September 20, coinciding with International Batman Day.
The Batman Edition commands an Rs. 89,000 premium over the BE 6 Pack Three variant, on which it is based. Externally, it features a satin black paint scheme complemented by gloss-black body claddings. Gold-finished Batman emblems are positioned on the front fenders, hubcaps, rear bumper, windows and rear windshield. The brake callipers and suspension springs also receive gold highlights, along with a “BE 6 X The Dark Knight” badge on the tailgate.
Inside, the cabin continues the dark theme with dual-tone black trim, contrasted by gold accents on seat surrounds, stitching, air vents and controls. Special details include a numbered Batman Edition plaque, logos from the Dark Knight trilogy on various interior elements, themed ambient lighting in the panoramic glass roof and Batman-logo puddle lamps. The infotainment and instrument cluster display Batman-specific animations and startup sounds.
Power comes from a 79kWh battery offering an ARAI-certified range of 682 km, paired with a rear-mounted electric motor delivering 286 HP and 380 Nm of torque. AC charging options include 7.2kW and 11kW units, available at extra cost.
The BE 6 Batman Edition marks Mahindra’s first electric vehicle to receive a factory dark-themed special edition treatment, positioning it among the more distinctive limited-edition EVs currently on the market.
