Jeep Wrangler Willys Special Edition Launched In India

Jeep Wrangler Willys special edition is limited to just 30 examples and is based on the Rubicon variant with several visual and utility-based enhancements

Jeep India has today introduced a brand new limited edition of the Wrangler. With the Wrangler Willys ‘41 Special Edition, the brand taps into the DNA of the original military Willys from 1941, delivering a heritage-inspired off-roader. To maintain its exclusivity, only 30 examples of the Wrangler Willys ‘41 Special Edition will be sold across the country.

Visually, this edition makes its intentions clear. Finished in a new ‘41 Military Green shade – developed exclusively for this variant – the Wrangler Willys features “1941” decal stamped across the hood. It is a reminder of Jeep’s battlefield beginnings but the equipment levels are more modern as seen in the Rubicon-spec Wrangler.

The paint itself is not available on any other model, preserving the Willys’ uniqueness. Standard features on the Jeep Wrangler Willys ‘41 include power-deploying side steps offering practicality without dulling its trail-ready stance, all-weather floor mats and grab handles front and rear, a digital video recorder setup at both ends of the vehicle and so on.

For those wanting even more capability, Jeep offers an exclusive accessory pack designed only for the Willys ‘41. It enables the presence of utility based features such as a roof carrier with integrated side ladders and a Sunrider soft-top roof. Priced at Rs. 4.56 lakh, the package turns the already distinct Willys into a go-anywhere expedition rig.

Mechanically, the Willys ‘41 is based on the Wrangler Rubicon, retaining its off-road hardware and core capabilities. The price bump over the standard Rubicon stands at Rs. 1.51 lakh. Commenting on the new launch, Kumar Priyesh, Brand Director, Jeep India, said:
