Jeep has launched the Cherokee Signature Edition in India. The Grand Cherokee Signature Edition is priced from Rs. 69.04 Lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition adds a few features and costs Rs. 1.54 Lakh more than the top-spec Limited (O) variant.
The Signature Edition includes motorised side steps, adding convenience to the brand’s flagship offering. The rear features dual 11.6-inch Android-based touchscreens with built-in speakers, AUX compatibility, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity for the passenger. The Grand Cherokee Signature Edition also includes a dashcam for the front and rear.
The same 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine powers the Grand Cherokee Signature Edition. It produces 272 HP and 400 NM of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission pairs with the engine, sending power to all four wheels.
Jeep Grand Cherokee rivals other luxury SUVs such as Volvo XC90, Range Rover Velar, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7, and BMW X5. However, the Mercedes GLE, Range Rover Velar and BMW X5 have only a seating capacity of 5 people, whereas the Grand Cherokee is a 7-seater SUV.
