Jaguar is set to showcase the Type 00 concept in Mumbai on June 14, 2025. The British Marque is undergoing a rebrand that includes the controversial electric GT concept. Jaguar is currently unveiling the Type 00 in locations like Miami, Paris, and Monaco, and it will soon arrive in the Indian city. Currently, there is little information regarding the battery size, but the targeted range (WLTP) is 770 Km.
The Jaguar Type 00 Concept is part of the company’s future product range. The Concept provides a blueprint for how the brand intends to build future cars. The Concept drastically emphasises zero emissions. The model expected to be showcased in India will be finished in Vibrant Blue shade.
The first EV model anticipated from this rebrand is an electric GT 4-door sedan. Test mules show there are design cues like an elongated bonnet, a coupe-like roofline, and a rear-set cabin. Additionally, the test mules also have an upright stance and large wheels.
The production version of the Jaguar Type 00 will be based on the Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA). As of present, little is known regarding battery size, but there is a targeted range (WLTP) of 770 Km. They also aim to charge to 321 Km of range in 15 minutes, utilizing fast charging.
By the end of 2025, Jaguar plans to launch its production EV car. We expect the India launch to occur later in Phase 2, in 2026 or 2027. Phase 1 will include countries like the UK and the US. High expectations surround this rebrand, and it remains to be seen if it will lead to improved sales figures.
