Citroen has revealed the new C3X. There are enhancements which focus on comfort, convenience and safety. This helps to position it as the most accessible option in its class, combining value with modern features.
The Citroen C3X retains the styling of the C3. Featuring split LED DRLs, chrome front grille, etc. It comes with a 180 mm ground clearance and 4.98 m turning radius.
Inside, the C3X offers a 10.25-inch Citroen Connect Infotainment System with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features include six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, and Hill Hold Assist. Additional technology includes ISOFIX mounts, TPMS, a 360-degree Halo camera, and speed-sensitive auto door locks.
The Citroen C3X is offered with two engine options to suit different driving preferences. The 1.2-litre NA PureTech 82 comes paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. For those seeking more punch, the 1.2-litre Turbo PureTech 110 delivers 0 to 100 km/hr in under 10 seconds, offers a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission and achieves an ARAI-certified mileage of 19.3 kmpl.
The X-Series introduces Proxi-Sense PEPS, cruise control with speed limiter, and a HALO 360-degree camera with seven viewing modes. It also gets LED Vision projector headlamps, LED fog lamps, and DRLs for better illumination. The cabin boasts best-in-class space, theatre-style rear seating, and a 315-litre boot.
Citroen prices the C3X from Rs. 5.25 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the Live NA variant. The top-spec C3X Shine Turbo AT costs Rs. 9.89 Lakh (ex-showroom) with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The C3X competes with the likes of Tata Punch, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite and undercuts some of the top-spec trims of the Maruti Fronx as well as Nissan Magnite.
