BYD was recently spotted testing the Atto 2 in India. If it were to launch, the brand would position the Atto 2 below the Atto 3 in India. This could strengthen BYD’s portfolio in the compact electric SUV segment.
At the 2025 Brussels Motor Show, the BYD Atto 2 debuted and attracted attention with its bold and boxy design. Internationally, people know it as the Yuan Up in China and Yuan Pro in Brazil. Overall, it is slightly smaller than the Atto 3.
The interior of the Atto 2 includes a 12.8-inch infotainment display and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. The features also include leather seats, heated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. The cabin offers premium comfort in a compact package.
In China, the Atto 2 has a 45.1 kWh battery. The electric motor generates 175 HP and 290 NM of torque, along with an NEDC range of 380 Km. BYD has not yet confirmed specifications for the Indian version.
BYD India hasn’t officially announced the launch of the Atto 2 yet. The pricing of the Atto 2 will be crucial for success in the competitive Indian EV market. The Atto 2 demonstrates strong potential with its rich features and compact size.
