Bugatti Brouillard Unveiled, Designed For An Anonymous Owner Admires Carlo Bugatti’s Furniture & Rembrandt Bugatti’s Sculptures

Bugatti just unveiled the Brouillard, its first creation under the ultra-exclusive Programme Solitaire coachbuilding initiative. This one-of-one hypercar is designed for clients who treat luxury as limitless. It represents not just a car but a bespoke piece of rolling art.

Brouillard, named after Ettore Bugatti’s favourite horse, means “fog” in French and is pronounced broo-yar. The white thoroughbred inspired Ettore to design a stable mechanism that the horse could open. The horse embodied elegance, intelligence, and enduring charm, surpassing being just a pet.

Styling

Bugatti channels those same qualities into the Brouillard’s design, graceful, muscular, and timeless. Flowing lines characterise the car’s body with no aggressive creases or aero distractions. It’s a sculpture in motion, a masterclass in understated beauty.

The proportions are classic, with a dark lower third to visually lower and elongate the body. The rear’s elegance is completed by a fixed ducktail spoiler and subtle diffuser. The integrated intakes maintain function without compromising the clean silhouette.

Engine

Bugatti’s most powerful engine, a 1600 HP quad-turbocharged W16, lies beneath the body. This is the pinnacle of two decades of engineering brilliance. The Brouillard may be the W16’s final iteration and most poetic application, as the 8.3-litre quad-turbocharged V16 will power future hypercars, such as the Bugatti Tourbillon.

Interior

Inside, the cabin showcases artistry over opulence. It features green-tinted carbon fibre, Parisian tartan, and machined aluminium components throughout. A cathedral-like glass roof bathes the space in natural light.

One exquisite detail hides in the gear shifter: a miniature sculpture of the horse Brouillard. It’s a nod to horology within a hypercar. Such craftsmanship blurs the line between machine and masterpiece.

The owner, remaining anonymous, admires Carlo Bugatti’s furniture and Rembrandt Bugatti’s sculptures. This car celebrates the Bugatti family’s artistic legacy, not just its automotive achievements. It represents a tribute, not a transaction.

Programme Solitaire

Programme Solitaire will only produce two creations each year, ensuring rarity and ultimate exclusivity. Each will share Bugatti powertrains but receive entirely custom design and interiors. It revives coachbuilding in a modern, breathtaking form.
