
Kia has announced that it will pass on the full benefit of the recent GST reduction to customers. From September 22, 2025, the benefit applies across Kia India’s entire ICE vehicle portfolio. This step supports the government’s reforms aimed at making passenger vehicles more affordable.
The automaker welcomed the government’s progressive decision on GST reduction. Kia describes the measure as a timely reform to boost affordability and support automotive sector growth. The company aims to ensure that customers experience greater accessibility through these revised prices.
The savings will differ across Kia’s lineup. The Sonet, the brand’s entry-level compact SUV, receives a reduction of up to Rs. 1.64 lakh, while the newly launched Syros gets a benefit of up to Rs. 1.86 lakh. The Seltos offers relief of up to Rs. 75,372. When it comes to MPVs, the Carens provides savings of up to Rs. 48,513, with the Carens Clavis variant reduced by up to Rs. 78,674.
The largest benefit comes with the Carnival, which now sees a price cut of as much as Rs. 4.48 lakh It remains to be seen whether the decision will energise consumer sentiment and stimulate festive season demand.
