
Maruti Suzuki has launched the Victoris SUV in India. It measures 4.3 metres in length. The SUV secures a five-star Bharat NCAP rating, and bookings commence for a token amount of Rs. 11,000/-
The SUV features a connected LED taillight bar, a new grille, DRLs, and redesigned headlights. It has squared-off wheel arches, 17-inch dual-tone alloys, a shark-fin antenna, and a powered tailgate with gesture control. White skid plates help enhance front and rear styling.
The SUV comes in 10 colour choices, including Arctic White, Mystic Green, and Eternal Blue. Dual-tone options include silver, red, and blue with black roofs. Eternal Blue and Mystic Green are new introductions.
On the inside, the Victoris is equipped with a 64-colour ambient lighting, a 10.1-inch instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch infotainment system. The Alexa assistant, Suzuki Maps, Dolby Atmos eight-speaker audio and a panoramic sunroof help to provide a premium experience. Ventilated power seats and a concealed space for a CNG tank add to the convenience and practicality of the SUV.
The Victoris gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine with mild- and strong-hybrid powertrains.engine options. The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 103 HP at 6000 rpm and 139 Nm of torque at 4300 rpm. The strong hybrid powertrain produces 92 HP at 5500 rpm and 122 Nm of torque at 3800-4800 rpm.
The 1.5-litre petrol engine pairs with either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The strong hybrid powertrain pairs with an eCVT gearbox. Notably, the Victoris offers FWD and 4WD setups with four terrains and three driving modes.
The Victoris scored 5 stars in Bharat NCAP crash test. It scores 31.66 of 32 points in Adult Occupant Protection and 43 of 49 in Child Protection. Detailed tests showed excellent protection in frontal and side impacts.
Safety features include six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera.
Eight variants are available, i.e. LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi (O), ZXi+, ZXi+ (O), ZXi+ 4WD, and ZXi+ (O) 4WD. Buyers can choose based on drivetrain and features. However, pricing will be announced at a later date.
The Victoris will be made in India and exported to over 100 international markets using the brand’s Gujarat manufacturing facility.
