Maruti Victoris Scores 5 Stars In Bharat NCAP Crash Test, Ranks 4th In Adult Safety Ratings

The new Maruti Victoris has achieved 5 stars in Bharat NCAP crash tests. It scored full marks in Adult Occupant Protection and Child Occupant Protection. This makes it one of the safest SUVs in its segment.

Adult Occupant Safety

In terms of adult safety, the Victoris secured 31.66 out of 32 points. It scored 15.66/16 in the frontal offset test. The SUV also achieved a perfect 16/16 in the side impact test.

The Victoris ranks fourth highest in adult safety ratings. Only the Tata Harrier EV, Mahindra XEV 9e, and Mahindra BE 6 have higher scores. Side pole impact performance is satisfactory as well.

Child Occupant Safety

Child safety performance was equally strong with 43 out of 49 points. It scored 24/24 in dynamic tests. CRS installation was perfect with 12/12 points, confirming ISOFIX compatibility.

Vehicle assessment in child protection returned 7/13 points. These scores place the Victoris alongside other five-star models like Punch EV and Skoda Kylaq. It ensures strong protection for younger passengers.

Safety Features

Maruti has equipped the Victoris with advanced safety features. Standard fitments include six airbags, ESC, pedestrian protection, and seatbelt reminders. Higher trims get Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, and tyre pressure monitoring.

Outlook

With a crash test weight of 1,549 kg, the SUV showed robust body engineering. It reflects company’s commitment to global safety standards. The Victoris sets a strong benchmark in India’s growing SUV market.
