Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG CLE 53 Coupe in India at a handsome price of Rs. 1.35 crore (ex-showroom). It is positioned above the CLE 300 Cabriolet in the lineup. The coupe aims to blend performance with luxury.
The CLE 53 Coupe features a muscular stance with wide fenders and a Panamericana grille. The rear highlights feature wraparound taillights, a black connecting strip, a lip spoiler, and quad exhaust tips. The car comes with 19-inch alloy wheels as standard, with 20-inch units as an option.
The interior of the CLE 53 coupe features an AMG-specific 3-spoke steering wheel and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The centre console houses an 11.9-inch portrait touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Alcantara-leather upholstery, contrast stitching, and carbon fibre trim elevate the sporty cabin.
A 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder mild-hybrid engine producing 443 HP and 560 NM of torque, with 600 Nm overboost, powers the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupe. It pairs with a 9-speed automatic and 4Matic+ all-wheel drive. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/hr in 4.2 seconds.
Mercedes electronically limits the top speed to 250 km/hr as standard, but it can be increased to 270 km/hr with the AMG Performance Package. The brand promises to deliver sharp handling with everyday usability. The CLE 53 Coupe aims to attract buyers seeking both performance and refinement, competing with the likes of BMW M4 Competition.
