Honda is planning to launch the Jazz’s new generation in China. In some countries, the Honda Fit serves as the name for this hatchback, which Honda manufactures in a joint venture with GAC. Recently, multiple photos have surfaced online which reveal crucial information about the various changes.
The front is heavily revised, incorporating sleek headlights and a refreshed lower bumper design. The nose is also more striking than before and adds to the hatchback’s road presence. On the side, there are dual-tone ORVMs and blacked-out B pillars.
At the rear, there is an addition of the plastic extension that replicates a diffuser. The current model sold internationally has similar tail lights. It is worth mentioning that the Honda Jazz is longer than before, measuring 4196mm in length.
The interior of the Jazz hasn’t been spied on as of now. However, it is expected that it will get some new feature additions. The current model has multi-function steering, an 8-inch infotainment system, dual-tone leather seats, rear AC vents, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
In terms of safety, the Honda Jazz overseas model currently gets ADAS features such as lane departure mitigation, collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist.
The Honda Jazz facelift is expected to feature the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine that produces 122 HP and 145 Nm of torque. It pairs with a CVT gearbox to send power to the front wheels.
Honda hasn’t revealed any details as to whether they will launch the new Jazz in India. Honda last sold the Jazz in India as a sub-4-metre hatchback. However, the new Jazz has a length longer than that, making it ineligible for the tax benefits.
This will likely mean a higher price, which will be tough against stiff competition from the Hyundai i20 and Maruti Baleno.
